The PTA has been a positive force in encouraging collaboration between home and school. The PTA further supports the school’s programs by volunteering hours, fundraising, and hosting special events. To this end, Saint Ann School has both a volunteer hour requirement and a fundraising requirement.
Each family is responsible to work 25 volunteer hours throughout the school year. A family can earn hours by working an event, chaperoning a class trip, serving lunch duty, or assisting at many other events throughout the school year. Hours for a particular school year can be accumulated from July to June. At the end of this time period, hours are totaled, and families that have not put in the designated amount of hours are billed $10.00 an hour for the remaining hours. It is the family’s responsibility to make sure their hours are recorded by the event chairperson. Hours worked for Religious Education or Drama Club cannot be credited for volunteer hours. Report cards and transfer records can be held if there is an outstanding balance due.
The funds raised by various PTA events provide the many extras that enhance the educational experience of Saint Ann School. Each family is required to contribute $125 through the numerous PTA fundraising events offered throughout the year. As with the volunteer hours, if the $125 commitment is not met, the family will be billed for the outstanding balance. Please note: participation in 8th grade fundraisers does not count toward your PTA commitment.

All forms are to be reviewed and signed by the event chairperson prior to submitting for entry. You may submit forms either by sending them to the main office marked: Sue Dorio – Volunteer Hours.
